You should try it...yes you should!

So I really wanted some chocolate cake last night--randomly-- but by the time we got Livia to bed it was already 9:00. Too late to make a cake, because by the time we got it all put together it would be at least 10:00. I was bummed. However..Adam was thumbing through a recipe book his mom gave us for Christmas and he found this recipe....and we had chocolate cake from start to stop in 5 minutes!!!! REALLY!!! And it was good!!!! So you should try it!!!! It's the perfect size batch for 2 people.
3 Minute Microwave Chocolate Cake
3 Tbsp oil
3 Tbsp milk
1 egg
2 Tbsp baking cocoa
4 Tbsp sugar
4 Tbsp flour
Optional: chocolate chips (we added these) or you could add nuts, coconut, etc.
Use a glass microwavable bowl. Put all the ingredients in the bowl- and the chocolate chips if you desire- it's really good with chocolate chips. Mix together. Microwave for 3 minutes. Turn out and enjoy!! We of course ate it right out of the bowl warm- with ice cream. YUM! ENJOY!

Livia is one!!

I really can't believe our little Livi is one!!! She has brought such joy to our family. She is developing a very sweet personality. She has been a mommas girl this entire year, and I have loved that! None of my other kids have had the "I must have my mom" attitude, and so it's been fun for me to always get a hug-frustrating for Adam. But, she is improving with Adam (sometimes--- it depends on the day, and time of day, and lots of other things. ) But oh, we love this little chunk so very much!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIVIA!! Liv's attempt to say she's one!
She's ready to tear in to that present. :)

What a cutie!

I want that cake!! ( Look at those rolls!)

That was good cake!! She got to clean up in the bath with cousin Brooklyn after that mess!

I just love that you can hear me singing above every one else in every video we have. I think next time Adam gets to hold the camera. :) -What a wonderful day!

Happy New Year- at the dentist

So, can I tell you how much I dislike the movie Kung Fu Panda?! It brings out the hidden Kung Fu warrior in my boys every time they watch it. So on Saturday the boys found a wooden broom stick and were practicing their "skills". Aaron jumped off the couch downstairs with broom stick in hand and somehow Ashton's face managed to run into it......hmmmm....I really don't know the whole story.
Needless to say Ashton's front tooth got knocked clear back, and an emergency trip to the dentist followed. The dentist had to pull the tooth forward because he couldn't bite down. And he wired it forward. So now he gets to wear braces for 6 weeks. JOY!
Yes, they are very crooked still, but at least he can bite down, and at least they are still baby teeth. I'm still not convinced it's not just going to turn black and fall out--- but while we are waiting to see- absolutely no more watching Kung Fu Panda!!! ( and no practicing kung fu skills in the basement) please? PLEASE!

Aaron's 5th Birthday!

This was Aaron's most looked forward to birthday! He was very excited to turn 5. I think he thought as soon as he turned 5 he would go to kindergarten. He was a little sad to find out he has to wait till August. But he still had a wonderful day. We love you Aaron! He got a cross bow (not a REAL one - don't worry- and was soooo excited!)
He was all grins. :)

And randomly- he asked for a toothbrush. hehehe..what 5 year old wants a tooth brush for his birthday?- well, Aaron did, so a tooth brush was what he got! A Spiderman tooth brush.... ooh, ahhhh. Ashton was jealous.
