Our crazy life

The summer is about over and I'm not too happy about that. We got to do a lot of fun things though, and made some wonderful memories.  Adam (mostly) finished our kitchen--which was our biggest summer project. We just have a top molding piece and a bench along the wall to finish. It is functional now though and we LOVE it!!

We got to meet up in Dubois, Wyoming with my dad's side of the family for a reunion. It was great seeing everyone.

We headed across the country to see my cousin get married in Nebraska.  We made some fun stops along the way. We stopped at a National Cemetery- at Custer's last Stand. It was humbling.

We got to see some old houses from "The Little House on the Prairie" author's life. We just finished the series with the boys. It was neat to see the actual homes.

In Nebraska we went to the zoo. It was such an awesome zoo!!!

We made it to the wedding! It was a beautiful wedding and it was so neat to see all of my family!
Congratulations Thomas and Ellie!
Eliza loves this! It kind of scares me every time Adam does that.

Everyone!!
Dancing the night away! Livia and Kaden were adorable!!
Livia was a beautiful flower girl.
The beautiful organ and stained glass windows at the church.

my mom and her sisters

I love my siblings!
We got a family picture!

The kids loved swimming with Grandpa.

We've had so many storms this summer. This was a particularly dark storm!
We went to the Ogden LDS temple open house with Chris and Marla and boys.  It was beautiful.
And we've had some surgeries.  Ella had to have her appendix out. Luckily it hadn't burst yet.  This is Ella being brave before surgery.

And this is Ella very tired after her surgery.  It was such a blessing to be able to get that taken care of so quickly.
My great friend Chelsa and her girls came to visit us! It was so fun to spend some time together.

School started again!!! YAY!! It's our 3rd year homeschooling. We love it!

Livia is in 1st grade
Preston is doing Preschool

Ashton is in 4th grade

Aaron is in 4th grade
Ella is in 7th grade

Adam had to have hernia surgery. They went in surgery to fix 3 but the doctor told me afterwards they found 5.  Good thing we got those taken care of. No more heavy lifting! (Yeah right)

We have been so blessed. We had a great summer and got to see some amazing things and amazing people. We've had some set-backs with surgeries--but I'm so grateful that we were able to get those taken care of and Ella and Adam are on the mend now.  We have so much to be grateful for.

I hate camping--but this is why I go......

Camping is such a pain!!! No one sleeps, mosquitos, possibility of bears, dirt, no one sleeps......I could go on for a while. Did I mention yet that no one sleeps?  HOWEVER---after looking through my pictures, I decided that there are a few reasons why I go camping, and why I'll continue to go camping....here's a few.......

We bought a motor home :)  As my mom put it... "Roughing it doesn't have to be a miserable experience". haha  (And still no one sleeps)

The boys helped grandpa set up their tent.  (They really did rough it)  Preston kept calling the tent a "fort".
I love all of his funny expressions.

What camping trip is complete without marshmallows?

Eliza cut 2 teeth while camping. Yay!

We went to Cave Falls.  It was beautiful!
And we found a remote lake called Horse shoe lake. It was so pretty. And in one section had a bunch of lily pads with beautiful flowers.

So filthy dirty, and loving every second of it.

It was such a pretty lake and I said to Adam, "The only thing that would make this prettier would be if a bald eagle flew over". And at that second a bald eagle flew over and landed in the tree! Good luck trying to find it. :)

I've never, ever, seen Adam wade in water before. But he did.

 Soooooo  exhausted. hahaha

What a beautiful world we live in.
