Ashton's soft spot

Rough and tough Ashton actually does have a soft spot!! He is sooo cute with Livia. He was helping her play her toy piano yesterday and I just had to capture the moment!

A fun get together

We got together on Sunday with all of Adam's family. We haven't all gotten together for a long time, so it was nice. The cousins all had a really good time playing together and exploring. The only casualty was Ashton getting stung by a hornet. We had good food and good company- what a fun afternoon!
The cousins!

Livia did not want to cooperate-but everyone else was smiling :)

Ella's trying to comfort Liv.

This is actually in our tree- Cousin Callie spent the week with us and they were all members of the "tree climbing club" :)

Cute Brooklynn. Livia outweighs her by 3 pounds and Liv is 3 months younger!

Trying to pose yet again!

Picking carrots in Grandma's amazing garden!

Check out those thunder thighs!

Ella and Callie are all smiles!

Mixed feelings

A local hot springs just recently re-opened which we were so excited about. They offered swim lessons so we signed right up! At first I was discouraged because in Aaron and Ashton's class there were 11 little kids to 1 instructor! After some complaining, they ended up basically having private lessons. Which was nice, and Aaron especially learned he could have fun in the water. However, they picked up some bad habits, like plugging their nose and swimming only with goggles. Oh well- they had a good time- I think I might do private lessons next time however.

Aaron said, "Mom, I made a new friend! It's my teacher!" I thought that was sweet.

This is just funny

Something old, something new

We saw a couple of movies this weekend. One of them was an all time favorite, and one is a new favorite. "UP" was such a fun, clean, funny, family film-and a tear jerker! I definatly recommend it if you haven't already seen it. And one of my all time favorites is "Sound of Music". I decided it was high time my kids saw a good musical. :) They loved it! Ella's been singing the songs all day. It had been a while since I'd seen it, and I just loved it all over again. What a great family movie. So if it's been a while- or if you've never seen it- go see it!

In my spare time....

So I've taken up a new hobby! I've always wanted to play the violin, and a friend recently was my inspiration to just start. So Adam's mom, was cleaning his Grandma's house and found her violin- so now I have a violin! This video clip is to humor my sister Jesse :). I told her it was my first song, and the violin was not even in tune- but she wanted to hear it anyway. ( By the way, it is in tune now. And I'm loving my new hobby!)

Some fresh air

For the 4th of July weekend we decided to hit the open road and drive up to Ashton, ID for some much needed family time and fresh air! We had one of the best vacations we've ever had. We popped up our trailer at Adam's aunt and uncles cabin so we had running water and flushing toilets. :) We went to Mesa Falls and Cave Falls, and played around at the cabin. We had a great time and have many wonderful new memories. All smiles as we head out..... (That didn't last)The one picture of me, taken by me :)

Having fun on the 4 wheelers!

Cave falls- part of this trail was closed due to rock fall. The mosquitos were terrible!! I had the bug spray in my hand the whole time! But it was beautiful.

More cave falls

Our one glimpse of wildlife...can you see the deer?

Yes, it really is that big!! This is the double burger at "Big Jud's".

Aaron and Ashton were up early exploring.

Our view of the Tetons in the morning.....breathtaking.

Our hike by Mesa Falls

Our climbers!

I thought this would be a fun photo. :)

Upper Mesa Falls.- you actually hike right up to the water's edge.

Someone offered to take our family picture!!--This really was such a great vacation for us. It was nice to be together and have such a good time.
