This year has been our apple harvest year! We got apples from my parents, from a tree behind our house, and several different friends- especially the Driscolls. THANK YOU! We have made apple sauce, apple pie filling, and apple cider- in LARGE quantities! Our friend's the Brown's have been working along-side us this whole season. And we ended it with a bang last Saturday. Here are some photos of the season....
Apple cider!! Adam's parents let us use their apple press to make yummy cider!
Just this day they did over 20 gallons!! That's not to mention the 15+ they did a couple of days earlier.
On Saturday we made 74 quarts of applesauce!! My cousin Naomi came to help us. Little did she know what she was getting herself into! This is Kim and Naomi quartering the apples and filling up that tote.
Adam is cranking out the sauce.
Naomi is mixing the ingredients. YUM!
This was all in the Brown's garage! Thanks for letting us set up shop there! Look at all those burners going!
Here's some of the fruit of our labors!
And more!! This apple sauce turned out amazing!! I'm just glad we are DONE for the year.
