An unwanted haircut for Livia----but a very wanted birthday for Ashton.

Livia got a hold of a pair of scissors and chopped off her "long princess hair" as she likes to call it. I didn't even dare try to fix it myself. It looked like a classic 80's style mullet. AHHH! So she got her first haircut. It made me sad to see her pretty, long hair go, but for now---she'll have a nice, SHORT haircut for summer.

 She was so somber for the whole haircut. And held on tight to her fruit snacks.

 And our most looked forward to birthday of the year.....ASHTON turned 6!!!!! (He'd been counting down the days since Aaron's birthday!) He was sooooo excited to turn 6.

 He got a cool Star Wars card from Grandma.

 And Adam had hid one of his presents in his truck, so he had to go outside to find it. And do you notice the sun is still coming up? Yep--we started the festivities EARLY!

 He got LOTS of Legos. EVERYONE loves Legos in our house. Ella even told me that's what she wants for her birthday now.

 It was such a beautiful day! Preston and dad took a ride on the mower. (Preston's new favorite "vroom, vroom".)

We love Ashton so very much- he is an important part of our family. He has taught us so many things, and I love watching him turn into his Dad! hahaha. Happy Birthday buddy! LOVE YOU!!

Easter time!

Happy Easter!!! The kids didn't even wake up too early! (In fact we just let Preston sleep since he was battling ear infections again.)

I think these were the coolest eggs we've ever decorated!! And I just got a cheap dye packet from the Dollar Store for it. Super easy, and the kids of course loved decorating them.

That evening we went on a hike down by the Snake River. Adam found a lizard. Can you spot it?

We stopped for a minute and some of the kids and Adam went down closer to the river. Preston and I were content to sit and watch them.

Then I had some random pictures on my phone. This princess was tired! She fell asleep listening to music on her floor. Cute!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter, and remember the reason we celebrate. (It's not about the Easter bunny or the candy. Although I did love our Easter feast- especially the potatoes!)---The reason we celebrate is to remember our Savior- Jesus Christ. We remember His life, His death, and His Resurrection. I am so grateful for a Savior that did all that for me, for my family, and for you.

Brian Regan Show!

Adam got us tickets to see Brian Regan at the Performing Arts Center last week. It was soooo funny!! He's one of our favorite comedians. He's got clean jokes and just plain funny. We had a great date!

The man that sat down next to me handed me this paper right when he and his son sat down....it says that this show was a surprise for his son and that his son thinks it might be a dog show or a monster truck show- so to please pretend for him. Adam did a great job talking about how excited he was about the dog show, but I could not stop laughing. (I tried not to be to obvious though! hahaha) It was pretty funny.

4th Grade Talent Show Piano

Ella participated in her school talent show! She played "Spinning Song" on the piano, and we are all so proud of her. She did great--I was more nervous than she was---(you'll see the video is shaky because my hands were shaking so bad. The video is on the previous post. ) She fumbled a couple of times but just kept going. :) I'm still surprised she actually did it---I really couldn't be more proud. She is one talented little lady.

And then later that day we took advantage of the great weather and went to the park and then to get some ice cream!!

Adam had a birthday!

Adam had a birthday this week! He bought himself a new toy (ok--NOT a toy) for himself. Now he has 2 pistols. And we went and watched him shoot them.

And he also got exciting things like.... an itunes gift card

and a new tape measure. (I guess you can't have enough tape measures, and this is a REALLY cool one).

He had a really yummy homemade dinner though---BBQ ribs and asparagus, and oatmeal cake for dessert. YUM!
